Method Detail

createInputStream

public static InputStream createInputStream(String filePath)
                                     throws IOException

Creates an InputStream for reading a file. It is able to create input streams for plain text documents and for .gz documents

Parameters:

filePath - the path of the file to be read

Returns:

the input stream associated to the file specified in filePath

Throws:

IOException

createOutputStream

public static OutputStream createOutputStream(String filePath)
                                       throws IOException

Creates an OutputStream for reading a file. It is able to create output streams for plain text documents and for .gz documents

Parameters:

filePath - the path of the file to be written

Returns:

the output stream associated to the file specified in filePath
